  • Erika Morrow is hosting a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 4-7 PM (with ribbon cutting starting at 5:30 PM) for the newly opened ForSight, located in a newly restored building at 350 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd - diagonal from the newly renovated Enmarket.  ForSight was restored and decorated using reclaimed materials from Emergent Structures and other local businesses, including Forsyth Metalworks, Miracle Method, Brooks Construction, and 18Loves. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door for $10 each or 5 for $40 for a chance to win an Apple Watch, $100 Visa Gift Card, prescription eyeglass lens vouchers, free frames, INVU & Maui Jim Sunglasses, and gift cards for local small businesses.. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Savannah Center for Blind and Low Vision as they work on building a walking path.

  • Lee Perry bragged that Savannah State University won the SIAC conference! Picked to finish late at SIAC Media Days, the Tigers football team used it as motivation and rolled over the number two team in the division, Fort Valley State, notching a 53-24 win in front of the home crowd, solidifying their spot atop the SIAC East.  Lee is working on putting together a social to watch an upcoming SSU basketball game.
  • Liza Smith says for those who signed up for Munch, you'll be assigned a date soon!  She's trying to schedule them all out instead of doing it all at one time.
