Stephanie Kaple is the Executive Director of the Savannah-Chatham County Interagency Council on Homelessness. Stephanie has worked to help those experiencing homelessness for over two decades, beginning her career with the Florida Keys Outreach Coalition, Inc. where she expanded programming to include Permanent Supportive Housing, Medically Fragile Housing, and Intervention & Prevention Services. She served on the Monroe County Homeless Services Continuum-of-Care and chaired the Monroe County Long Term Recovery Group following Hurricane Irma. After moving to Savannah, Stephanie worked with Special Needs Housing, which encompassed a variety of programs, including both facility-based supportive housing and rental voucher programs throughout Chatham County. The Interagency Council on Homelessness for Chatham-Savannah was developed in 2022 through a collaboration of the City of Savannah, Chatham County, and the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce to better address homelessness in our community, and was officially created by the General Assembly of the State of Georgia in 2025. The ICH serves as the Continuum of Care (CoC) Board for Chatham County. The ICH presented its Five-Year Strategic Plan in November of 2024, with a commitment to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in Chatham County. |

"Destiny Mojica - Taylor is a Strategic Alchemist, Storyteller, and the founder of The Marketing Mage. Based in Savannah, Destiny specializes in helping purpose-driven brands and under-resourced marketing teams turn creative chaos into business clarity. She knows that creativity without strategy is just noise, and strategy without creativity is invisible. Her mission is to provide the alchemy needed to blend both. Known as The Marketing Mage, Destiny moves beyond "growth hacks" and "magic bullets." Instead, she focuses on Alchemy: the process of taking a team’s raw ideas and limited resources, and transforming them into high-impact results. She achieves this through her signature philosophy of Method & Madness—blending the Method (systems, workflows, and strategy) with the Madness (bold storytelling and unignorable creativity). Destiny’s approach is hands-on and deeply collaborative. She doesn’t just hand over a plan and walk away; she partners with founders and small teams to build the infrastructure they need to work smarter, not harder. From clarifying brand narratives to building sustainable content ecosystems, she helps good people doing good work show up clearly without burning out. When she isn’t partnering with clients, Destiny speaks and leads workshops on brand storytelling, marketing systems, and the art of subtraction. Her goal is simple: Help teams find their inner magic and build the systems to share it with the world. Clarity over chaos, always." |

Loop It Up Book Boxes! Loop It up provides book boxes for lower elementary students. The students will paint and decorate their boxes and then "shop" for books to take home. The box acts as their very own personal bookshelf at home to promote reading outside of school hours. Read more HERE. We'll meet up to help wrangle the students with help from the Loop It Up staff and faculty from the school to bring out their creativity and promote this important literacy endeavor! It's absolutely fine to get paint on your Metro T-Shirt, so throw that in the car and prepare to get messy! Please show up as close to 2pm as possible. We will likely be done with cleanup before 4pm. 18 and over only, please. After you sign up here, please take the extra step to register with Loop It Up at THIS LINK and use the lock code metro. There are some logistics with SCCPSS that we need to make sure to follow and this will ensure that everything goes smoothly on the day of the service. |

Sign up for an individual time slot with Read United Day 2026. Read United Day is the flagship initiative of Read United, reaching students in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty, and Long counties to promote literacy and a lifelong love of reading. Nearly 1,000 United Way volunteers visit classrooms to read aloud and leave behind a new book for each class. In Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, and Long counties, every pre-K through 2nd-grade student also receives a new book to take home, helping to close the gap for children who may not have books at home. In Chatham County, United Way will continue our pilot reading competition with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, designed to motivate and reward students for reading more books. Read United Day 2026 will benefit more than 20,000 children across our region—and your support makes it possible. Steps to Sign-up for Read United Day 2026

Join us to help decorate Tharros Place for Valentine's Day (or rather Galentine's Day)! We'll also do a couple of projects around the place to make sure things are running smoothly. They have very little love-themed decor on hand, so let's get creative and bring the love! If you have a small step ladder or step stool, please bring that along as well. Tape, monofiliment, hooks, etc. could also be helpful, but only if you have them on hand. For the privacy of Tharros place residents, the address will not be released until you have registered and signed an NDA. The NDA will be emailed to you after you register. If you have volunteered at Tharros Place in the past, you can simply sign another NDA on site at the event. Kids ages 12 and over are welcome. Wear your rotary t-shirt and join in the fun! |
