Brightside maintains several closets stocked with essential items for children entering foster care, and our club will help sort and organize them. One of these closets is a spacious room filled with clothing that requires sorting and organization. Another is dedicated to hygiene products and diapers, which needs to be relocated to another floor and arranged properly. Lastly, they have a room with toys and school supplies that also needs to be moved and organized. This project is family friendly. |

Dr. Ryan Foley leads Savannah Technical College with a clear focus to equip Coastal Georgia with a skilled workforce that drives economic progress. Two decades of experience working in technical education has taught him a crucial lesson: that speed matters. Students need skills they can use now, not just theories for later. This direct approach to training is the core advantage Savannah Tech offers over traditional academic routes.
A prime example of this is the Associate of Science in Nursing program. By establishing an accelerated curriculum, Savannah Tech is rapidly training qualified Registered Nurses, giving local residents the opportunity to earn accredited RN certification in half the time of conventional programs.
This is true of all of Savannah Tech’s degrees, from Aviation Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, to Cybersecurity, Robotics and Automation, and everything in between. Savannah Tech achieves a 99.6% employment rate for their graduates, with 94.2% working in their trained profession. And with over 13,000 students enrolled annually, it’s clear that the college offers direct pathways to successful careers, including dual enrollment, high school equivalency, and specialized support for veterans. Holding a bachelor's degree in management and an MBA from Georgia Southern University, along with a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Management from the University of Georgia, Dr. Foley champions lifelong learning, a core principle of technical education. He is leading Savannah Tech at a critical time as they expand online and hybrid learning options, invest in updated facilities, and develop new programs that anticipate future workforce needs.
Dr. Foley upholds that supporting student success and sharing that narrative is essential to illustrate the tangible impact of technical education. But it’s his energy and relentless drive that truly set him apart. He's working to ensure Savannah Tech remains a vital engine of Coastal Georgia's economic future, one skilled graduate at a time. |
